What We're Making

A small studio ships slowly and says so. Here is everything that's out, and everything that isn't yet.

Released

Nothing yet. Tanooki Studios is new, and we'd rather have an empty shelf than put something half-finished on it. Transcribbler is closest — it's in TestFlight beta now, and you can help test it.

In Development

Order is rough — roughly how close each one is to being something you could use every day.

Transcribbler

TestFlight Beta

Native macOS audio transcription that runs entirely on-device. There is no account and no sign-in — your audio never leaves your Mac. Optional AI summaries exist, they are strictly opt-in, and they use an API key you supply yourself.

  • macOS 14.4+
  • On-Device
  • No Account

Telly

In Development

A private, ad-free desktop viewer for YouTube. Telly never signs in to Google: you bring your channel list across once from Takeout, NewPipe, FreeTube or OPML, and after that it keeps its own subscription list on your machine. No ads, no sponsored rows, no recommendations shaped by a profile, and no analytics.

  • Windows
  • Linux
  • No Account

Blabbler

In Development

Hold a hotkey, talk, and cleaned-up text appears where your cursor already is. A menu-bar dictation app for macOS where both the speech recognition and the tidying up run on your own Mac — no account, no API key, no network.

  • macOS
  • On-Device
  • No Account

Kirby

Early Development

A native Mac email client. Gmail first, multi-account, and no server of ours sitting in the middle — your mail goes from Google to your Mac and nowhere else. Privacy protections are on the moment you install it; you opt out, never in.

  • macOS
  • Gmail

Kirby is a working name and will change before release.

SubSwap

In Development

Move your YouTube subscriptions from one account to another without hunting down every channel by hand. Export from the old account, subscribe on the new one, and anything you already follow is skipped. No account, no server, no API key.

  • Edge
  • Brave

RecordKeeper

In Development

A personal health record that the patient actually controls. It turns appointment transcripts and lab or imaging PDFs into structured, cross-referenced, summarised entries — and a privacy layer decides what is shown to whom.

  • Health

Chewsy

In Development

Two people, one four-digit code, and a stack of nearby restaurants to swipe through. When you've both finished you see every place you both said yes to — plus a slot machine for when you still can't decide. No accounts.

  • iOS 17+
  • No Account

Quits

In Development

A subscription-cancellation directory that walks you straight to the official cancel page for a service — and then gets out of the way so you do the final click. We never ask for your password and never log in on your behalf.

  • Web

Quits is a working name and may change before release.

Groundwork

In Development

Describe a business idea and get back domains that are genuinely available, a trademark reality check, and the licences and permits you'd actually need to open — in one pass instead of five afternoons.

  • Web
  • macOS

Groundwork is a working title and may change before release.

Inkwell

Early Development

An AI book creator that takes a book from idea to finished manuscript as one continuous work, rather than a pile of disconnected chapters. Fiction and nonfiction, researching before it writes, running locally.

  • Local

Territory to Titan

Early Development

A professional wrestling promoter and booking simulator. Start with a few thousand dollars, a rented gym and no reputation. Sign wrestlers you can only partly judge, book a card, run the show, and find out whether you made rent.
